University of Balamand Institute of Aeronautics Receives a DC-9 from UM Airlines to be Used as a Training Platform for Aircraft Maintenance Technologists

In a recent trip to the Ukraine, a delegation met Dr. Rodrigue Merhej, an Lebanese Expariate and a successful entrepreneur who heads the Ukraine Mediterranean Airlines. Dr. Merhej graciously donated a DC-9 aircraft from his company fleet to the University in support of the Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and the Institute of Aeronautics. MASCO, the MEA affiliated company, has generously produced a paint scheme for the DC-9 that reflects the University colors.
